So after my first real photoshoot with Hlot Ksor, we decided to go on another adventure; this time in Greenfield Lake Park. Gretchen Hess (@gretchtay_ on Instagram) joined us on this photoshoot. It was a relaxed Sunday afternoon and although it was overcast and gloomy out, we decided to go for it.
Since our first photoshoot in Fort Fisher was such a success, Hlot & I were very excited about this next adventure. Our original ideas were a little different though. We all three wanted to do a fall photoshoot with boots, sweaters, brimmed hats and a cozy vibe - which happened, but in a complete different setting. We had high hopes of shooting in Carolina Beach State Park but it had been raining all morning, and the rain gave no mercy. While getting lunch, Hlot, Gretchen & I fumbled around with different ideas and Greenfield Lake Park came about.
We didn't have very much time with the rain setting in, and we knew it would be quite a quick photoshoot. Several outfit changes in the car and passing around the film camera between all of us gave such an excitement for these photos to get developed. Whether it be on "car watch" while shooting in the middle of the road, trying to stay warm in the freezing rain or keeping the cameras dry in the rain, it's satisfying to see such dark and cozy feels portrayed in the photos.
Feel free to contact me via email or Instagram if you would like to set up a photo shoot. And don't forgot to check out Hlot's blog, Wilder + Rove (www.wilderandrove.wordpress.com) and Gretchen's Instagram (@gretchtay_). Cheers!
